The Daily Telegraph A record number of home movers have enlisted a buying agent this year, but going off market is no longer exclusively for the super wealthy. A chronic shortage of homes for sale has pushed desperate buyers into a more secretive part of the market; where public advertising is largely non-existent and well-connected buying agents are essential. Enquiries from buying agents on behalf of purchasers have more than doubled in London since before the pandemic, according to LonRes, a property analysis firm.
