Privacy to ride out the pandemic in £40m mansion

When the Eastern European tycoon behind one of London’s most expensive houses started building his secluded Hollywood-style mansion more than 10 years ago, he could have had no idea that it would boast all the most prized assets of 2020.

Set on 2.3 acres of land behind tall security gates, Heathfield House cost a reported £32 million to build over more than a decade and offers everything a family could need to lock down in comfort, from the ultimate home office to an indoor swimming pool and gym.

The glossy white, modern house has been on the market with an asking price of £40 million for almost a year but Lee Koffman of Sotheby’s International Realty, who is selling the property, says he has seen a surge in interest from potential buyers over the past eight weeks following months spent in and out of lockdowns.
