Property Week According to LonRes, the supply of homes for rent is limited and tenant demand remains strong, so while annual growth rates are lower compared with recent months, rents have risen by 20.5% over the past 12 months. LonRes managing director Anthony Payne suggests rising interest rates could have long-term implications. “Interest rates moving in an upward trajectory impacts investors looking for yield, as the increasing rates may start costing them more than the rent they’re receiving.”
